Aussie Hero quilts and our grass has turned grey

The last couple of weeks I have been making a couple of quilts and matching laundry bags for the AHQ... http://aussieheroquilts.blogspot.com.au/. If you pop over to my other blog.... http://itchintwostitch.blogspot.com.au/, you can see all the laundry bags we made at the Kimz shop.........

I enjoyed making and stippling this quilt

something  little different I quilted organic gum leaves across the center of the solid fabric

I have been getting stuck into yard work.......I was moving some retaining walls blocks and soil the other day and over did it a bit.........still think I can work like a twenty year old...until the next day......

I have taken everything out of this garden......except the Dahlia.......we are putting in a lattice wall in front of these water tanks.  We need to make a smaller backyard to keep the dogs in.........

the garden bed is empty and the post and reno has been taken out......

and have started painting of the lattice........I started spray painting but was having trouble with the spray gun so Jens ended up doing it for me.......so I went and made lunch.....

I  mowed after the lattice was moved and the grass is still grey......

home made pizza can't beat it......yum yum......

I am looking forward to the vegie garden looking like this again....at the moment they are all empty and

ready for planting......although I have planted out the potatoes..........we had a stunted orange tree in with the beds.......it never grew so I dug it up and put in this little block wall along the path way.......not the best in building block walls....but for the vegie garden it's ok...

Sandra and I went up to visit Janet to on Sunday ......

on the way we saw this fantastic fence......and I love the old clothes line.......

When we got to Janet's she gave us a couple ( just a couple ) of cuttings and some Agapanthus bulbs......
I checked the moon guide so I will be planting out the bulbs next week........but first each bulb has to be cut back........I also went to the Agapanthus Farm  in Maleny and bought a couple of Black Beauty bulbs........looking forward to see them flower later in the year..........

Until next time....

Cathy
